ABOUT ME
I now serve as Professor and Director of the University Writing Program in the Klein Family School of Communications Design at the University of Baltimore. Previously, I directed the Writing Center at the University of Kansas. As Associate Professor, I taught in the Linguistics Department at California State University, Fresno and as Assistant Professor in the English Department at East Carolina University. At UB, I teach CWPA 761 (Teaching Writing) and courses in the Writing Program. My research interests are academic writing, second language writing, and writing center studies. I have published articles in Assessing Writing, Journal of College Reading and Learning, Journal of Second Language Writing, and the Writing Center Journal, among others.
